This month, Books, Chai & More, the Raah Book Club, will be discussing the book The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. Prior to the discussion we will watch the Film based on the book.

Are trees social beings? In The Hidden Life of Trees, Peter Wohlleben convincingly makes the case for the forest as a social network. He uses groundbreaking scientific discoveries to describe how tree parents communicate with their children, help them grow, share nutrients with those struggling, and even warn each other of dangers. Wohlleben explains the amazing processes of life, death, and regeneration that occur in the woodland.

The book discussion will be led by Sameer Joshi, an artist & a poet. He is a Professor of English with the University of Maryland, US.
